After a big week helping clients kick their goals, there’s nothing better than finding a great spot to unwind with a glass of wine. Whether it’s a quick catch-up with friends, a sneaky solo glass or a long lunch in the Hills, Adelaide has no shortage of brilliant places to relax and sip something special.
Memphis Slim’s: If you haven’t been here yet, add it to your list. It’s moody, cool and tucked away just off Leigh Street. The wine list is spot-on, and the vibe is pure blues bar energy, perfect for a post-work glass when you want something a little different.
Bank Street Social: This one’s a hidden gem. Great local wines, a cosy underground setting and always a fun crowd. It’s right in the heart of the city but feels like your own little hideaway. An easy go-to when you want a guaranteed good time.
Sidewood Estate: Sidewood is my go-to for a proper unwind. Gorgeous views, amazing food and even better wine. It’s ideal for a Sunday in the Hills when you want to stretch things out and soak up the sunshine (and a glass of Pinot).
The Oval Hotel: For something a bit more polished, The Oval Hotel nails it. The views over Adelaide Oval never get old.
The Stirling Hotel: Such a classic. You’ll find me here year-round, by the fire in winter or outside in summer with a glass of rosé. It’s the perfect pit stop if I’m heading to or from the Hills and want something familiar and relaxed.
Sol Rooftop: Nothing beats a rooftop drink to wrap up a big week. Sol always delivers, from the view to the wine list to the energy. It’s where I head to celebrate the wins and take in the city skyline at golden hour.
I’m always happy to swap recommendations. Wine chat is always welcome.
Cheers, Joey
