At Finestream, we spend our days helping clients make smart decisions with their finances. But once the workday wraps up, I like to keep things pretty relaxed. For me, it’s all about footy, good company and a well-earned beer. Preferably a Stone & Wood!
Most weekends, you’ll find me playing footy for Walkerville. I’ve been at the club for a couple of years now, playing half back. It’s the perfect way to switch off from the nine-to-five and get stuck into a bit of healthy competition. I enjoy the fitness side of it, but it’s really the team spirit and the friendships that make it something I keep coming back to. We made it to the grand final last year, which was a huge effort, even though losing it definitely wasn’t fun.
After the game, I’m usually catching up with mates over a beer at one of our usual spots. The Highway, Broadway or Morphy Arms are some of my favourites. A simple night with a few good laughs is hard to beat. If you haven’t been, Malt Shovel Taphouse in Adelaide is also very underrated and worth a visit if you’re after a great feed and relaxed vibe.
That balance between work and play keeps me fresh, focused and ready to go again each week. Whether it’s on the field or in the office, it’s all about backing your team and enjoying the process!
